Question: Why not keep the camera’s WiFi always on?
Answer: If we keep the camera’s WiFi always on, it might bring about two problems:
1). The power consumption of the camera will be significantly increased, and cause high temperature and affect the camera’s work;
2). Most smartphones remember WiFi hotspot that has ever connected successfully, so if we keep the camera’s WiFi always on, your phone might automatically connect to it once you get into the car. The phone (especially for most Android phones) might not connect to the internet and you will not receive any messages from Facebook or other apps or surf the internet through your phone unless you disconnect the WiFi from the dash cam.
But we will keep moving on to solve the problems above and looking for a better solution for WiFi connection so you don’t need to keep turning on the camera’s WiFi first every time when you need to connect to it.
