I have had my N2 Pro now for a little over three years. The battery died a long time ago. The unit still works when it has power so I have just kept using it this way. Now, however, I want to do something different. I started researching VanTrue hardwire kits and found the ODBII kit that is compatible with the N2 Pro. I have read other posts on this site where a VanTrue rep has asked what the startup voltage for the vehicle is. What I am wondering is, why does that matter? The device has low voltage protection which should keep the unit from draining the battery. Will this kit work for my car or not?

The hardwire kit/OBD cable's low voltage protection level is 11.6V. If your car's start up voltage is higher than this level, there may be a risk of not able to start your car. Thus we do not recommend to use that. Thanks.
